The Holidays

We have been so thankful to have Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years here in Oregon as we gear up for our departure to Bolivia. We have had the necessary time to spend with our family and relatives. Now that the New Year is over, we are working to pack our bags and say final good-byes to everyone before we fly out on the 15th.

During the Christmas season we had a great deal of snow and rain. We actually were snowed in with our parents for five days. Once we were able to travel again, we found that our usual running trail had flooded. So... the tail end of our 2008 running looked something like this:

The good news was that Kevin made a deal with Lisa that whoever became the most muddy would get a piece of chocolate. Of course, we had to have a good mud fight. And the end result was as follows:

And believe me (Lisa)... the chocolate was fabulous.
Anyway, we hope you all had a great holiday season and our looking forward to a great new year. The next blog update will include some warmer weather from Bolivia.

Mmmmmm...chocolate!
We sure are excited that your journey has begun! We'd love to have you over for "waffles" the next time you're in Seattle! :)
Thanks for coming to our Youth Group to share about what you will be doing in Bolivia. You really made an impression on all of us!

Cheerfully,
Jennifer Traynor
